Pat Sloan Is Here And We Still Have Room
Pat and her students today are having a blast in her Tidbits of Handwork class. As a nationally recognized applique and color theory teacher, Pat knows how to bring laughter and fun into the classroom. We still have room in her machine applique class on Friday and in the second offering of Tidbits of Handwork on Saturday. You can always learn something new.

Pat Sloan Workshops

Row by Row Experience
We've enjoyed meeting everyone who has come in to participate in the Row By Row Experience! It's been a lot of fun and it continues through September 2. The kits and patterns for our "row" keep flying out the door. As soon as we cut more kits, we are having to cut another set. Our row is pretty darn cute, if we do say so for ourselves. You still have time to pick up your copy of the row and purchase a kit to win a prize. For rules and more information, visit
Quilt Heritage Talks with Carolyn Miller

We have RESCHEDULED this meeting again. Don't miss out on exploring Carolyn Miller's collection of quilts this month. For the July session, we will be meeting on Friday, July 25, 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. due to schedule conflict with a Pat Sloan class. This is a great opportunity to bring a friend with you. Her theme is "Christmas In July" and she'll be discussing red and green quilts. It'll put you in the holiday spirit! Only 161 days until Christmas! Sign up today.
Intro To Wool Applique
Do you want to start working with wool or adding wool to your quilting projects? Wool adds the prefect primitive, folk art, or even contemporary touch and texture to any project. Learn the basics of wool applique with Jill on Saturday, July 26, from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. while working on the Berry Bloom Purse. You're going to love it! Register today.

Quilt Plano Is Quickly Approaching
Make sure to add Quilt Plano to your calendar. Join quilt lovers on August 15-16 in celebration of all things quilts. You'll want to see all the gorgeous quilts entered into the quilt show as well as stopping by HIQ's booth to say "Hi." We have Quilt Plano tickets for purchase, so stop on by.

The Blue Thread: A Shibori & Indigo Workshop
Join Kaari Meng of French General and us for a day of shibori stitching and indigo dyeing! Learn how to create resist pattern and shapes on textiles by using a needle and thread. Prepared fabrics are then dipped into the indigo vats which will turn fibers yellow to green and eventually oxidize to a brilliant shade of blue. This class is almost full! You'll want to sign up now to reserve your spot. Register today

Harriet Hargrave Workshops
Harriet's returning to the shop at the end of August to teach four workshops. Achieving Quality Workmanship is a condensed version of Quilter's Academy I. We are following that one-day session with a two-day class that focuses on Quilter's Academy II and III. Then learn Harriet's Invisible Machine Applique technique. Wrap up your week of learning with Harriet by taking her Free Motion Quilting. This is your opportunity to learn from a master in the quilt industry.
