Volunteer - It's Sew Fun!
|
|
Quilting and charity are time-honored traditions in this country. It's the nature of a quilter to have the urge to make something to give that warms the body and comforts the soul. Quilters love to reach out to those in need by doing something they truly love - quilting.
At Happiness Is...Quilting! we enjoy supporting worthwhile causes in our city and throughout the country. As I uncover opportunities that I feel especially drawn to, I will make every effort to provide you with the information and support you need to get involved and make a difference in the lives of others.

Operation Quilted Comfort
Our efforts to create quilts for the families who have lost a soldier in Operation Iraqi Freedom were a resounding success. The completed quilts represented a comforting hug for the family members who now face an empty chair at the dinner table.
The project was expanded to include soldiers with life altering injuries.
Fabric was been donated for the quilts, and we had lots of help make the quilts happen!
Contact Allison Bayer at allon0711@yahoo.com if you would like any additional information about this effort.
