Don't miss your chance to meet and learn from a real quilting celebrity, Pat Sloan! Pat will be at Happiness Is...Quilting! in historic downtown McKinney to teach two fantastically fun and useful classes for us on Friday and Saturday, June 14 and 15, 2013. Each 6 hour workshop is $99, or you can take both for $175. You can also hear Pat speak at the Plano Quilt Guild monthly meeting on Thursday, June 13.
Class 1: Friday, June 14, 10am - 4pm Wild and Free - Create quilts with Personality
In this workshop Pat takes you from a regular background to one that sings! You will learn how to work with larger scale prints, how to control your color selections and how to make backgrounds and quilts like the one displayed. You will complete your background in the class.
Skill level: Intermediate and up.
Click here to see photos Pat has on her website about this workshop. | Class 2: Saturday, June 15, 10am - 4pm The Magic of EASY Machine Appliqué - draw, cut, machine stitch, so easy anyone can do it! Fast, Fun and you learn ALL of my machine applique tips! 
Pat walks you through each step of the appliqué process, from cutting to getting a great size blanket stitch on your machine. We start out with a sample piece to test, then move onto our main project, Little Blue Bird.
(If you take Class 1, you may bring your results and continue with 'Wild and Free' as your project.)
