At Happiness Is...Quilting! we want to see our customers learn more about quilting each time they come into the shop. Our talented team of local teachers and national teachers offer classes spanning from basic to advanced techniques and handwork to machine work.

Basic Quilter's Supply Kit

Gain practical, easy-to-understand strategies that allow you to confidently choose colors for you quilts.

April Topic: Star Quilts from 1830's - 1930's Everyone always has a wonderful time at these informative and interesting sessions. Join us and see several examples from Carolyn's vast collection.

Fancy Crochet Edge Class

Learn to Crochet on the Edge! Using the "Edgit" piercing and crochet hooks, you will learn to add a lovely crocheted edge to pillowcases, sheets, hems, etc. Crochet experience necessary.

Join Penny for a 5 week class and learn how to properly rotary cut, measure, press and machine piece quilt blocks. We will be working from Alex Anderson's book, Make Your First Quilt.

This class will cover loading, editing and transferring designs.

Get your creative juices flowing! In this four part class, we will learn many embroidery stitches as well as techniques for texturing. We will talk about creating a project in that class, and you can purchase your supplies for the project at that time. Jill will be making a table runner using leaves or circles. A pattern will be provided for the leaves and circles. You can work on this same project or choose a project of your own. We have several wool projects available in the shop.

Hand Piecing

Slow stitching has become very popular. Learn the basics of hand piecing and begin working on your own hand-pieced project.

You can do this!! Become confident as you learn the tips, tricks and techniques for creating that memory T-Shirt quilt you've been saving all those shirts for. Demos and discussion on interfacing, using and sizing the shirt design graphics, quilt block design layout plus questions and answers will fill our time together.

In this class, you will learn how to machine applique using a zigzag stitch, blanket stitch, raw edge applique, and how to appliquilt. We will have a fun-filled day learning lots of different techniques.
